Subtraction Snake Game (C Beads)

A wooden tray containing 4 boxes with lids:

• 5 sets of 1-9 coloured bead stairs
• 5 sets of 1-9 grey bead stairs
• 1-9 black and white bead stair
• 23 golden bead bars of ten

The purpose of this material is to:

• Introduce the child to the unit combination of subtraction.
• Teach how to subtract concrete representations of negative functions.
• Prepare for algebra (equal quantities of opposite sign eliminate each other).
