Tasting Exercise

This set includes eight small glass bottles with eyedroppers, a wooden tray and a wooden holder. The bottles are made of brown glass so that students cannot identify the liquid inside by its colour. Each bottle has a glass eyedropper with either a silver or gold colour cap for transferring the solution to a spoon or dropping it directly onto the student's tongue.

The Tasting Exercise is used by the child to refine the gustatory sense. The bottles are prepared by the adult with pairs of the basic tastes of sweet, sour, salty and bitter that the child samples and matches.
